The invention discloses an energy-saving fireproof ball and relates to a refractory material. The energy-saving fireproof ball comprises a fireproof layer and a heat accumulation layer. The heat accumulation layer is a channel going through the fireproof layer. The heat accumulation layer is a cylindrical cavity. The inner side of the heat accumulation layer is uniformly coated with high-radiation energy paint. The fireproof layer comprises, by weight, 50-60% of a high-aluminum material, 0.5-5% of silica, 10-15% of andalusite, 10-15% of sillimanite, 0.3-0.5% of ferric oxide and 3-10% of an additive. The energy-saving fireproof ball has the advantages of high compression strength, good temperature resistance, high heat storage capacity, large heat exchange area, long product life of more than 5 years in one furnace campaign, low unkeep cost, and good economic and social benefits.
