Novel refractory material and production method thereof
The invention discloses a novel refractory material and a production method thereof. The novel refractory material is prepared by mixing the following components in parts by weight: 38-45 parts of quartz sand, 35-45 parts of high bauxite, 1-4 parts of water glass, 1-4 parts of borax, 3-10 parts of quartz powder and 5-15 parts of special organic matters. The production method comprises the following steps: preparing materials according to the parts by weight of the components and grinding the components into dry powder materials for later use; adding other materials except for the water glass and dry-mixing for 3-5min; adding 6-7% of water, stirring and mixing for 5-8min; and adding the water glass, stirring and mixing for 4-5min so as to prepare the novel refractory material. The refractory material disclosed by the invention, which is prepared from various elements, is applicable to the furnace lining of a smelting furnace, the ladle lining of a casting ladle as well as repair of the smelting furnace and the casting ladle. By virtue of the technology disclosed by the invention, the coatings of the smelting furnace and the casting ladle, which are 80-150mm thick, can be dried with slow fire. The refractory material can be continuously used for multiple times, and is safe and reliable; and the refractory material can be used for avoiding the penetration of the furnace body or the casting ladle, the refractory material can be used for improving production efficiency and also can be used for guaranteeing safe production.
