The invention discloses a large-gradient stone side slope protection structure based on rainwater collecting bags. The protection structure is designed in a modular manner; annular fences can be welded with a framework in advance; during a field installation, only the protection structure modules need to be fixed on a mountain slope through anchor fixing holes, and plant components are clamped on the inner sides of the annular fences, so that the installation process can be simplified, and the installation difficulty is lowered; the annular fences are fixed on the framework, and the conical plant components are clamped on the inner sides of the annular fences, so that the protection structure modules are simple and convenient and light in weight, the planting difficulty is lowered, and meanwhile the cost is lowered; the rainwater collecting bags are arranged below the plant components for collecting rainwater falling from the openings of the plant components, so that rainwater can fill automatically on rainy days for later use; the lower ends of the rainwater collecting bags are provided with openings which are connected with drip irrigation pipes, and control valves can be switched on for supplying water to the whole side slope needing protection through the drip irrigation pipes on little-rainfall seasons, so that moisture required by vegetation growth is ensured, and the water transportation cost is lowered.
