The invention discloses a faucet installation structure and a faucet installation method. The faucet installation structure comprises a base for fixing a faucet on an installation face of the faucet and a clamping assembly for positioning the base on the faucet installation face, wherein the base is provided with an opening through which a water inlet pipe of the faucet passes and runs up and down; the clamping assembly comprises a connecting rod, an upper clamping part which is movably arranged on the connecting rod and an lower clamping part which can sequentially passes through the opening and an installation hole on the faucet installation face and enters into the lower side of the installation face; the lower clamping part is arranged on the connecting rod and is located below the upper clamping part; when the lower clamping part is placed on the lower side of the faucet installation face, the connecting rod is driven above the faucet installation face to move upward so as to clamp the lower clamping part, so that the lower clamping part leans against the lower side of the faucet installation face, and the upper clamping part positions the connecting rod and leans against the upper side of the base. The faucet installation structure disclosed by the invention fully realizes an operation mode of installation on the faucet installation face, and is big enough in installation space and good in visibility, so that the installation efficiency is greatly improved.
