The invention discloses a preparation method for an EPS (expandable polystyrene)-foam cement composite self-insulation vertical wall block. The composite block prepared with the method comprises two parts, namely an EPS insulation board mould body and foam cement, wherein the EPS insulation board mould body adopts a cuboid structure with a hollow cavity in the middle; connecting stiffening ribs are arranged in the hollow cavity; a hollow cavity in an EPS insulation board is filled with the foam cement, and the foam cement is cured and bonded together with the EPS insulation board mould body to serve as a sandwich material. The EPS insulation board of the block is tightly bonded with the foam cement, so that the block is unlikely to crack and good in long-term stability; the block is good in thermal insulation effect, so that a wall body does not need to be subjected to secondary thermal insulation treatment; the grade-B1 EPS insulation board is good in fire-retardant property; the block is simple in production process, convenient to construct and relatively low in comprehensive cost.
