The invention discloses an external window system with a double-cavity structure. The external window system comprises a window sash and a window frame; two cavities are formed in the part in which the window sash is lapped to the window frame; the two cavities include a cold cavity close to the outdoor side, and a hot cavity close to the indoor side. According to the external window system with the double-cavity structure, the frame and sash lapping structure is improved, and the original single-cavity structure is replaced by the double-cavity structure, so that the two cavities are formed at the part in which the window sash and the window frame are lapped, namely, the cold cavity at the outdoor side and the hot cavity at the indoor side; the two cavities are formed, and therefore, the heat transfer can be effectively resisted, and as a result, the heat loss is reduced, and the energy saving performance is improved; meanwhile, the water tightness and air tightness are improved.
