The invention discloses a crossroad for alleviating traffic jam. The major cause of traffic jam is that vehicles wait at crossroads. According to the crossroad for alleviating traffic jam, a tunnel or a viaduct is arranged in the middle of the crossroad, a small section of road is additionally arranged at each turning, vehicles needing to go straight can also go straight directly, all vehicles going straight can pass through smoothly due to the tunnel or the viaduct in the middle, vehicles needing to turn right can keep running rightwards and turn right to run through the additionally arranged small section of road, and vehicles needing to turn left can come through the tunnel or across the viaduct firstly, and then turns right and right; viaducts or tunnels can be further constructed for pedestrians to come across. The crossroad is applicable to large-size roads, middle-size roads and small-size roads, is very low in cost, and occupies a small space.
