The invention provides an early-strengthening polycarboxylate water reducer, which comprises a copolymer formed by polymerization of four monomers. The invention also provides a preparation method of the early-strengthening polycarboxylate water reducer. The early-strengthening polycarboxylate water reducer provided in the invention acts on aggregate such as cement and can provide a better steric-hindrance effect. By using the early-strengthening polycarboxylate water reducer provided by the invention, concrete is enabled to have good workability, and is prevented from phenomena of bleeding and segregation.
