The invention provides a method for dispersing monocrystalline sapphire fibers in a zirconia ceramic composite material. The method comprises the following steps: a, adding monocrystalline sapphire fibers into a dispersant, and boiling the obtained mixture for 15-20 minutes or carrying out ultrasonic treatment on the obtained mixture, so that the monocrystalline sapphire fibers are uniformly distributed in the dispersant; b, adding zirconia ceramic powder into the monocrystalline sapphire fiber-containing dispersant, uniformly stirring, vacuumizing and drying; and c, carrying out moulding molding, and sintering the obtained product, so that a ceramic composite material is obtained. According to the invention, the ceramic composite material is prepared by adding monocrystalline sapphire fibers into zirconia ceramic powder, so that the tolerance degree of the composite material in extreme circumstances is greatly increased. The method disclosed by the invention has great practical values and social significance.
