Sediment thickener
The invention relates to a water conservancy mechanical facility, and particularly discloses a sediment thickener. The sediment thickener comprises a platform, wherein a mortar cylinder is arranged on the platform; a cone frustum which is concentric with the mortar cylinder is arranged in the mortar cylinder; a water inlet pipeline and an overflow pipeline are arranged on the upper part of the mortar cylinder; the water inlet pipeline is arranged along the tangent line of the cone frustum; the overflow pipeline is positioned at the upper end of the cone frustum; two discharge pipelines which are arranged along the flow direction of water current are arranged at the cylinder bottom of the mortar cylinder; feeding tanks are arranged below the discharge pipelines. After the arrangement of the cone frustum, the water current moves circularly around the cone frustum after entering from the water inlet pipeline, sediments are deposited under the actions of the impact of subsequent water current and the gravity of the mortar and flow into the feeding tanks from the discharge pipelines, and residual water overflows from the overflow pipeline and flows back into the Yellow River in order that the concentration of the mortar entering the feeding tanks is increased, so that the concentration of mortar entering a sediment transport system is ensured, and the sediment transport efficiency is increased.
