The invention provides a high-alumina plastic refractory consisting of white alundum, tabular alundum, mullite, aluminum oxide micro powder, lanthanum and lanthanide series metal oxide micro powder, yttrium powder, a dispersant and a bonding agent. The invention also provides a preparation method of the high-alumina plastic refractory. The preparation method comprises the steps of fine grinding, premixing, mixing, drying, selecting, checking, packaging and warehousing. By adding the lanthanum and lanthanide series metal oxide micro powder and the yttrium powder, the high-temperature bonding capacity of the plastic refractory is improved, the problem that the high-alumina plastic refractory is poor in bonding agent effect at a high temperature is solved, and the high-temperature thermal stability and wear resistance of the high-alumina plastic refractory are improved.
