The invention relates to a support pillar for a road guard railing. The support pillar comprises a support pillar body, wherein the lower end of the support pillar body is fixedly connected with a fixed plate, the lower surface of the fixed plate is provided with a plurality of triangular slots which are symmetrically formed about the center of the fixed plate, and triangular inserting blocks are rotationally connected in the triangular slots and can be collected in the triangular slots. The support pillar provided by the invention is simple in structure; furthermore, the support pillar is fixed by symmetrically installing the rotator inserting blocks on the fixed plate, and a triangular structure is integrally formed by the three triangular inserting blocks, therefore the connecting strength between the support pillar and the ground can be improved greatly; furthermore, the triangular inserting blocks rotated can be collected at the bottom of the fixed plate, and the space usage can be reduced.
