The invention discloses a glazed hollow bead inorganic heat insulating material as well as a preparation method and an application thereof. In percentage by weight, the glazed hollow bead inorganic heat insulating material is prepared from the following raw materials: 34.0-55.3% of glazed hollow beads, 37.3-57.0% of water glass, 0-7.3% of boron oxide, 0-10.4% of spodumene and 4.6-7.4% of glass fiber. The preparation method comprises the following processes: uniformly mixing the glazed hollow beads and the boron oxide in a container with a stirring function, adding the water glass, stirring and uniformly mixing; then, adding the glass fiber, further stirring and uniformly mixing, compacting and shaping an obtained mixture in a mould and demoulding, and drying under 90-100 DEG C so as to obtain glazed hollow bead inorganic heat insulating material which is green and energy-saving, environmentally friendly and safe and is excellent in heat insulating performance and mechanical intensity. The preparation process, which is simple and short in production cycle, is applicable to mass production.
