New cationic asphalt emulsifier tetraethylenepentamine/ formaldehyde modified lignin-amine can be synthesized by one step reaction of alkali lignin, tetraethylenepentamine and formaldehyde, and best reaction process conditions for synthesis of the asphalt emulsifier can be obtained. The CMC value of the target product is 4.26 x 10<-4>mol / L, and is small. Under the critical micelle concentration (CMC), the surface tension is 29.11mN / M. The synthetic emulsifier is a fast cracking type asphalt emulsifier, and can be widely used in the adhesive layer, fog seal layer, non solvent cold mixing, recycling of asphalt and asphalt pavement substrate stabilizing.
