The invention discloses a construction technology for a vertical prefabricated box culvert. The construction technology is characterized in that the prefabricated box culvert is vertically precast on a precast yard, the prefabricated box culvert is hoisted away from a precast pedestal with adoption of binding hoisting after precasting, and a mounting process is performed after overturning for 90 degrees, wherein according to the vertical precasting, the mounting posture of the box culvert is rotated for 90 degrees axially during precasting, formworks during precasting are all vertically upwards, and the construction difficulty is reduced greatly. On the premise that the construction safety is guaranteed, the whole construction period for the project is shortened by 20%, and about 10% of the construction cost is saved.
