The invention discloses a steep slope reinforcement and protection device and a paving method of the steep slope reinforcement and protection device. The steep slope reinforcement and protection device comprises reynolds mats orderly paved on a steep slope; adjacent two reynolds mats are fixed to each other, and reynolds mats are fixed on the steep slope through anchor rods; gravels are filled in the reynolds mats, and vegetations are planted on the gravels. Compared with the prior art, the steep slope reinforcement and protection device has the beneficial effects: for the reynolds mats are woven by a machine, every unit lattice is connected tightly, and construction is simple; thus the steep slope reinforcement and protection device can effectively prevent stone collapse and enhance the structural anti-scouring ability; the anchor rods are nailed on the reynolds mats, on the one hand, the anti-scouring and anti-gliding abilities of the reynolds mats can be enhanced, so that the reynolds mats can be applicable to the steep slope reinforcement and protection; on the other hand, the integrity of the steep slope reinforcement and protection can be improved; gravels and vegetations are paved on the reynolds mats in order to absorb water and fix soil, prevent the slope from water erosion, green and improve environments, and the like; the steep slope reinforcement and protection device is simple in construction, short in work time limit, low in cost and maintaining cost, and so on.
