The invention provides a road sweeper. The road sweeper comprises a vehicle chassis, a sweeping system, a power source, a dustbin and an unloading mechanism. The power source is a storage battery power source, is arranged on the vehicle chassis and provides driving force for walking of a vehicle and the sweeping system. The dustbin is arranged at the tail of the vehicle chassis, and the unloading mechanism is arranged between the vehicle chassis and the dustbin and used for lifting the dustbin. The sweeping system comprises a front side brush, a rear side brush and a main brush, wherein the front side brush, the rear side brush and the main brush are sequentially arranged in the front-back direction of the vehicle, and the main brush is a multistage rolling brush lifting mechanism. As a pure electric mode is combined with the sweeping system, a high-power exhaust fan is omitted, and energy consumption and the cost are both greatly lowered. Electric energy of a storage battery serves as the power source, so environmental protection and zero emission are achieved. In addition, the main brush is the multistage rolling brush lifting mechanism, so the height of a discharge port of the sweeping mechanism is effectively increased, the effective volume of the dustbin is greatly increased, and sweeping efficiency is also substantially improved.
