The invention provides a new energy road sweeper. The new energy road sweeper comprises a vehicle chassis, a sweeping system, a power system, a dustbin and an unloading mechanism. The power system comprises a storage battery power source and a DC converter. The storage battery power source is arranged on the vehicle chassis, and driving force is provided for walking of a vehicle and the sweeping system through the DC converter. The dustbin is arranged at the tail of the vehicle chassis. The unloading mechanism is arranged between the vehicle chassis and the dustbin and used for lifting the dustbin. The sweeping system comprises side brushes and a main brush, the side brushes are arranged at the front portion of the vehicle chassis, the main brush is arranged behind the side brushes, and the main brush is a multi-level roll brush lifting mechanism. Due to the fact that the road sweeper is purely electric, a large-power exhaust fan is removed, and energy consumption and cost are greatly reduced. The storage battery electric energy serves as a power source, and environmental friendliness and zero emission are achieved. In addition, the main brush is the multi-level roll brush lifting mechanism, the height of a discharging port of a sweeping mechanism is effectively increased, the effective volume of the dustbin is greatly increased, and the sweeping efficiency is greatly improved.
