The invention discloses a microwave dielectric ceramic; the microwave dielectric ceramic contains a ceramic base material Zr[x](A[1/3]R[2/3])[1-x]TiO[4] and a sintering auxiliary agent, the weight ratio of the ceramic base material to the sintering auxiliary agent is 1:(0.02-0.06), wherein in Zr[x](A[1/3]R[2/3])[1-x]TiO[4], 0.2<=x<=0.6, A is Zn or Mg, and R is Nb or Ta. The invention also discloses a preparation method of the microwave dielectric ceramic. Low temperature sintering of the microwave dielectric ceramic can be realized, the stability of microwave dielectric properties of the microwave dielectric ceramic is guaranteed, and the production cost can be reduced.
