The invention discloses a Portland cement grinding aid being composed of following components, by weight: 100 parts of triethanolamine, 5-7 parts of carboxymethyl cellulose and 0.1-0.3 parts of sodium hydroxide. The Portland cement grinding aid, compared with a conventional grinding aid, is significantly reduced in grinding time and energy consumption and increased in efficiency.
