The invention discloses a self-elevation type sand blocking plate. The self-elevation type sand blocking plate comprises a sand and a base and is characterized in that the front end of the base is connected with the sand baffle, and the rear end of the base is hinged to a vertical rod fixed to a foundation; the distance between the hinge point of the base and the vertical rod and the ground is larger than 0 meter; and a chain is further connected between the vertical rod and the base; and multiple self-elevation type sand blocking plate are arranged to form a sand blocking fence. The self-elevation type sand blocking plate has the beneficial effects that the sand blocking plate can form a stable triangular structure towards sandy wind so as to share wind impact; and a space which is below the base and large enough for accommodating sand is ensured. Due to a fact that sand can be easily deposited at the hinge position, the space is big enough so as to avoid the phenomenon that a large amount of the sand is accumulated at the position close to the hinge position easily and consequently the sand baffle is quickly elevated; and meanwhile, a certain distance exists between the hinge position and the ground, and therefore the sand baffle has enough elevation space.
