A lead shear damper with a limiting function comprises an upper cover plate, a lower cover plate, upper side baffles, lower side baffles, partition plates, pins and a lead body, wherein multiple connecting bolt holes are formed in the upper cover plate and the lower cover plate, the two sides of the upper cover plate and the lower cover plate are each provided with one side baffle, gaps are reserved between the upper side baffles and the lower side baffles, the multiple rectangle steel partition plates are arranged between the upper cover plate and the lower cover plate, the partition plates are connected with the side baffles through the pins to form a box-type cavity which is internally provided with unit spaces, and the cavity is filled with molten lead liquid to form the lead body; connecting lines among pin hole centers of the partition plates, and the upper side baffles and lower side baffles are parallel to the cover plate faces. According to the lead shear damper with the limiting function, the structure is simple, the manufacturing cost is low, the manufacture is easy, the composite energy dissipation capacity is strong, and the functions of strengthening the damping effect and shear limiting are achieved.
