The method comprises the following steps that the top edge, the bottom edge, the end points of the two side edges and the middle points of the bottom edge and the top edge of a water stop belt are measured, and equal division marks are made on the water stop belt according to a middle division principle; the hanging point space on the water stop belt and hanging point positions on a hanging frame are calculated according to the weight of the water stop belt; a first fixing hanging belt is connected with a first load bearing hanging belt through a plate chain hoist, and a second fixing hanging belt is used as a second load bearing hanging belt to be used; after the installation of the first load bearing hanging belt and the second load bearing hanging belt is completed, the first load bearing hanging belt and the second load bearing hanging belt are respectively connected with the hanging points of the top edge and the bottom edge of the water stop belt; the water stop belt is hoisted, and is leveled through the plate chain hoist; the water stop belt slides into a positioning press plate arranged on an end steel case, and the water stop belt is finally fixed.
