The invention discloses a building surface mortar. The building surface mortar is composed of, by weight, 83% of dephosphorized gypsum powder or desulfurized gypsum powder, 12% of fly ash, 2% of an organosilicon waterproofing agent, and 3% of SH sodium salt. According to a preparation method, solid waste materials, including gypsum powder, fly ash, and the like, are taken as main raw materials, wherein the solid waste materials are obtained from power plants or via phosphoric acid processing, and are called as white pollutants; ingredients such as the organosilicon waterproofing agent are added for combination at a scientific ratio; an obtained mixture is stirred uniformly using a special-purpose horizontal mixer, is delivered to building sites, and is mixed with water for using without adding any other gel power materials. Advantages are that: the building surface mortar is high in cohesive force; firm bonding with building interior and exterior wall base layers can be realized; coating layer cracking or peeling is not caused; the building surface mortar possesses alkali resistance and water resistance; and in addition, adding of retarders is not needed, so that production cost is reduced greatly, and product market competitiveness is increased.
