The invention discloses a novel grooving machine for building construction. The grooving machine comprises a grooving cutter, a bottom plate, a front fixing frame, a speed reducer, a motor, an electric controller and a back fixing frame, wherein the front fixing frame and the back fixing frame are fixed on the bottom plate, the speed reducer is arranged between the front fixing frame and the back fixing frame, the grooving cutter is connected with a torque output end of the speed reducer and mounted vertically downwards, a port of the grooving cutter penetrates through the middle of the bottom plate, a torque input end of the speed reducer is connected with a rotating shaft of the motor, the motor is fixed on the back fixing frame, and a power supply of the motor is connected with the electric controller. Compared with the prior art, the grooving machine has the advantages that a milling manner is adopted for cutting, the speed reducer is matched to increase power, building materials can be milled powerfully, one-time grooving can be realized according to the size of the grooving cutter, the working efficiency is improved, tedious work is simplified, and the grooving machine is convenient to use and has popularization and application values.
