The invention discloses a prefabricated type bridge pier column and a connecting method thereof. The prefabricated type bridge pier column at least comprises a plurality of prefabricated type bridge pier column bodies capable of being arranged in a stacked mode, and each prefabricated type bridge pier column body is provided with a plurality of through holes in the length direction. The inner wall of each through hole is provided with concave-convex regular lines. The diameter of each through hole is larger than that of a connecting steel bar. Epoxy resin glue is arranged between the adjacent end faces of the prefabricated type bridge pier column bodies arranged in the stacked mode. The through holes of the prefabricated type bridge pier column bodies arranged in the stacked mode are formed in a one-to-one correspondence mode. The connecting steel bars penetrate through the through holes formed in the one-to-one correspondence mode respectively. High-strength slurry is poured in the through holes where the connecting steel bars are arranged. The prefabricated type bridge pier column and the connecting method thereof have the advantages that the bonding strength of the prefabricated type bridge pier column bodies is good, construction cost is low, and the construction progress is fast.
