The invention discloses a pavement tail gas degradation fog sealing layer material and a preparation method thereof. The material comprises the following ingredients in parts by weight: 80 to 100 parts of emulsified asphalt, 5 to 20 parts of modifying agents, 5 to 15 parts of photocatalytic complexing agents, 3 to 7 parts of plasticizers, 0.05 to 0.15 part of tackifiers and 150 to 200 parts of quartz sand, wherein the emulsified asphalt comprises 55 to 60 parts of petroleum asphalt, 2 to 3 parts of emulsifying agents, 37 to 43 parts of water and a proper amount of hydrochloric acid. The pavement tail gas degradation fog sealing layer material and the preparation method have the advantages that harmful gas of oxynitrides in automobile tail gas can be effectively degraded, meanwhile, the pavement preventive maintenance aspect is considered, the early-stage slight damage of the pavement surface is restored, and the water-resistant and anti-slip performance of the pavement is improved.
