The collection vehicle comprises a vehicle body, wherein a pavement information collection device is arranged at the top of the vehicle body; an industrial computer is arranged inside the vehicle body; the pavement information collection device comprises a front camera, a rear camera and a top bracket used for mounting the front camera and the rear camera; the front camera and the rear camera are connected with the industrial computer through a control circuit; the industrial computer comprises a host machine, a display screen and a control console; the display screen is arranged between a main driving seat and a front passenger seat in the front row inside the vehicle body; the control console is arranged on the seat back of the front passenger seat. The collection method comprises the collection vehicle and the collection step. The collection vehicle is simple in structure and relatively high in degree of automation, and greatly improves the efficiency of pavement detection.
