The invention relates to an implementation method of limiting traffic on a bridge for a vehicle. Limiting devices are arranged on bridge heads and cooperate with a long-range control center and a wireless network, so that the height of the traffic vehicle can be limited. According to the implementation method disclosed by the invention, entrances of the bridge are divided into three regions through three inverted T-shaped height limiting rod structures, so that vehicles in the specific heights can be effectively limited to enter a bridge body from designated regions, the safety of the bridge body is ensured to the utmost extent, and the situation that the bridge body is crushed by a nonstandard vehicle is avoided; through long-range wireless centralized control, reporting of the traffic vehicle can be realized, besides, the height limiting control can be performed when a special vehicle passes through the bridge, and the defect that the height of a traditional height limiting device cannot be flexibly regulated is overcome.
