The invention discloses an arch bridge rigid tie rod joining method without temporary stay cables. According to the method, the temporary stay cables used in a conventional joining method are avoided; the sliding support and adjustable limitation pad blocks are arranged, jacks are used to push the sliding support, and the limitation pad blocks are used to control the sliding distance of the sliding support and carry out temporary locking, so that the purpose of rigid tie rod unstressed joining is realized; and the method is easy and reliable, is easy to control, is high in operability, saves construction procedure and construction period, improves production efficiency, is obvious in economic advantages, and has very good application prospects.
