CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION AND A WORKING MACHINE INCLUDING A CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION
The present invention relates to a continuously variable transmission (200), comprising: a variator unit (234) having a variator input shaft (236) and a variator output shaft (238); a first planetary gear set (226) having a first (228), a second (230) and a third (232) planetary member, said first planetary member (228) being one of a ring wheel and a planet carrier, said second planetary member (230) being the other one of said ring wheel and said planet carrier, and the third planetary member (232) being a sun wheel, wherein the first planetary member (228) of the first planetary gear set (226) is operatively connected to a transmission input shaft (204); and a second planetary gear set (240) having a sun wheel (242), a ring wheel (244) and a planet carrier (246), said planet carrier (246) being operatively connected to a transmission output shaft (258); wherein said variator input shaft (236) is operatively connected to the second planetary member (230) of said first planetary gear set (226); said variator output shaft (238) is operatively connected to the sun wheel (232) of said first planetary gear set (226), said sun wheel (232) of said first planetary gear set (226) being further operatively connected to said sun wheel (242) of said second planetary gear set (240) while having a variable gear ratio between said transmission input shaft (204) and said transmission output shaft (258); and said ring wheel (244) of said second planetary gear set (240) being selectively connectable to said second planetary member (230) of said first planetary gear set (226) and to a gearbox housing (250) of said continuously variable transmission (200).

The present invention relates to a continuously variable transmission (200), comprising: a variator unit (234) having a variator input shaft (236) and a variator output shaft (238); a first planetary gear set (226) having a first (228), a second (230) and a third (232) planetary member, said first planetary member (228) being one of a ring wheel and a planet carrier, said second planetary member (230) being the other one of said ring wheel and said planet carrier, and the third planetary member (232) being a sun wheel, wherein the first planetary member (228) of the first planetary gear set (226) is operatively connected to a transmission input shaft (204); and a second planetary gear set (240) having a sun wheel (242), a ring wheel (244) and a planet carrier (246), said planet carrier (246) being operatively connected to a transmission output shaft (258); wherein said variator input shaft (236) is operatively connected to the second planetary member (230) of said first planetary gear set (226); said variator output shaft (238) is operatively connected to the sun wheel (232) of said first planetary gear set (226), said sun wheel (232) of said first planetary gear set (226) being further operatively connected to said sun wheel (242) of said second planetary gear set (240) while having a variable gear ratio between said transmission input shaft (204) and said transmission output shaft (258); and said ring wheel (244) of said second planetary gear set (240) being selectively connectable to said second planetary member (230) of said first planetary gear set (226) and to a gearbox housing (250) of said continuously variable transmission (200).
