The invention discloses a novel environment-friendly material, and relates to the field of materials. The novel environment-friendly material is composed of the following raw materials in mass fraction: 30-50 parts of sweet potato starch, 10-15 parts of diatomite, 20-30 parts of fine river sand, 10-15 parts of polypropylene glycol, 10-12 parts of gypsum powder, 2-5 parts of stearamide, 5-9 parts of hollow glass beads, 20-40 parts of cement, 5-10 parts of polycaprolactone and polyhydroxybutyrate, 5-10 parts of thin wood chips, 5-10 parts of charcoal powder, 1-5 parts of nucleating agent and 3-5 parts of fire retardant. The produced novel environment-friendly material is environment-friendly, energy-saving, simple in step and relatively low in cost.
