The present invention relates to an ecological slope protective apparatus for rock-fill dams and dam slopes and applications thereof, belonging to the field of dam slope protection. A plurality of plant pipes described in the present invention are arranged spaced apart on a dam top and a dam slope, wherein the plant pipes are laid out horizontally, the two ends of the plant pipe being in communication via a fine polyvinyl chloride (pvc) pipe, the pvc pipe acting as a water charging pipe at one end of the plant pipe and acting as a water discharging pipe at the other end of the plant pipe; the plant pipe together with the water charging pipe and the discharging pipe constitute a pipe-net system; one side of the pipe wall of the plant pipe is provided with openings, each section of the plant pipe being in direct connection at the places of the openings, the left and right ports of the plant pipe at the rear end of each pipeline being closable via end lids which are provided with small holes thereon, the aperture of the small holes being equal to the pipe diameter of the water charging pipe or the water discharging pipe, one end being in connection with the water charging pipe, the other end being in connection with the water discharging pipe. The protective apparatus of the present invention greenizes dam bodies and does not impose influence upon the safety of the dam bodies.
