The invention discloses a basement sump which comprises an impervious layer which adopts a rectangular structure, wherein the lower surface of the impervious layer is positioned on a foundation pit which adopts a trapezoid structure; the two side surfaces of the top of the foundation pit extend outwards; the impervious layer is fixed at the extension parts of the two sides of the foundation pit; a reinforcing member is arranged inside the foundation pit; the two ends of the reinforcing member are arranged inside the foundation pit in an embedding manner; the reinforcing member is connected with the foundation pit through cement pouring, a water accumulation cavity is formed in the upper surface of the reinforcing member; the water accumulation cavity is connected with the reinforcing member through a locking device; the locking device is detachably connected with the water accumulation cavity and the reinforcing member through flanges; a water seepage pipe is mounted on the upper surface of the water accumulation cavity; the bottom of the water seepage pipe extends into the water accumulation cavity, and the top of the water seepage pipe is connected with a baffle bar. The basement sump can collect accumulated water better, can effectively prevent accumulated water from permeating into the basement, guarantees the drying environment of the basement, improves the connectivity and stability of the structure of the sump, has good reinforcing property, and can further prolong the service life.
