The invention relates to a gearbox casing for an automobile. The gearbox casing for the automobile comprises a lower casing body and an upper casing body connected with the lower casing body, wherein the inner surfaces of the upper casing body and the lower casing body are coated with a titanium oxide system ceramic material layer; the outer surfaces of the upper casing body and the lower casing body are coated with an epoxy-modified organic silicon resin coating, and the composition of aluminium alloy is simple; the aluminium alloy which is simple in composition is subjected to passivated surface treatment process, so that the problem of dark-point defect on the surface can be avoided, and the obtained surface is clean and tidy.
