The invention discloses a coupling beam type metal damper. Due to the fact that the coupling beam type metal damper is arranged in the coupling beams of shear wall structures, the coupling beam type metal damper can achieve the functions of consuming earthquake energy and protecting the main structure, and improve the circumstance that a traditional shear wall structure coupling beam portion is easy to destroy when a main body structure is under action of an earthquake. Simultaneously, the connection devices are arranged in the coupling beam type metal damper, the connection devices are varied in type, and therefore the coupling beam type metal damper is convenient and flexible in design application, simple and practical, and good in earthquake resistant effect.
