The present invention discloses an alumina fiber reinforced gypsum ceramic matrix composite and a preparation method thereof, the alumina fiber reinforced gypsum ceramic matrix composite is characterized by comprising the following raw materials by weight: 50-70 parts of gypsum, 10-12 parts of barium sulfate, 10-15 parts of modified alumina fiber, 3-5 parts of aluminum powder, 0.01-0.03 part of ammonium persulfate, 4-6 parts of styrene, 0.1-0.3 part of dicumyl peroxide, 1-2 parts of hydroxypropyl cellulose, 1-3 parts of polyethylene wax, 8-10 parts of China clay, 20-30 parts of ethanol, and 30-50 parts of deionized water; the antioxidant treated alumina fiber added in the alumina fiber reinforced gypsum ceramic matrix composite is used as a ceramic reinforcing phase, and has ceramic toughness reinforcing properties, mechanical properties, abrasion resistance, hardness and high temperature resistance, the added barium sulfate is nondiscolouring at high temperature, enables ceramic whiteness to be enhanced, and the alumina fiber reinforced gypsum ceramic matrix composite is uniform in density, good in gloss, and smooth in surface.
