The invention provides a composite additive containing calcium aluminate cement combined corundum castable and a preparation method thereof. The high-strength calcium aluminate cement combined corundum castable is prepared by taking calcium aluminate cement as a binder, taking tabular corundum and activated aluminum oxide as main components and taking titanium dioxide/boehmite micro-powder as a composite additive. According to the invention, in combination with the characteristics that titanium dioxide promotes sintering and boehmite is converted into high-activity aluminum oxide at high temperature, the strength of the corundum castable is significantly increased. The high-strength calcium aluminate cement combined corundum castable prepared according to the invention has a high strength, can be applied to the industries of building materials, metallurgy and petrochemical and the like, and effectively prolongs the service lives of facilities such as cement kilneyes, coal-injection ducts, induction furnace linings, high-temperature wear-resisting linings and the like.
