The invention discloses a low-density fiber-reinforced calcium silicate fireproof plate and a preparation method thereof. The preparation method comprises the following steps: step 1, mixing a plant fiber, cement and quartzite for pulping, wherein the Ca/Si molar ratio is 0.80-0.82, and the mass of the plant fiber accounts for 8-12% of the total weight of raw materials; step 2, manufacturing a plate material into a blank, that is, preparing a material blank; step 3, carrying out a pre-reaction, that is, placing the material blank in a reaction kettle, stably heating to 250 DEG C at a heating rate of 30 DEG C/h and under the condition that the internal pressure of the reaction kettle is 1.2+/-0.1 MPa since steam enters the reaction kettle, and then carrying out constant-pressure pressure maintaining for 24 hours or longer; step 4, carrying out autoclaved curing; step 5, carrying out demoulding drying and sanding trimming to obtain the low-density fiber-reinforced calcium silicate fireproof plate. Compared with the prior art, the low-density fiber-reinforced calcium silicate fireproof plate is lower in density, expansion coefficient, and expansion capacity under 100% water saturation, and higher in plasticity and capability of bonding with fixing screws and the like, so that the problems that the possibility of edge breakage is extremely high and the construction difficulty is great can be solved.
