The invention discloses a method for producing autoclaved bricks from iron tailings. According to the method, 62 percent of iron tailings and 25 percent of iron separation waste rock are used as raw materials, and 10 percent of quicklime and 3 percent of gypsum are added; the ratio of water to material is 0.12. The green bricks are good in forming property, and attractive in appearance; the quality of the produced autoclaved bricks meets national standard requirements, iron tailings in the iron separation process and mountain cutting waste rock in the ore-dressing process are effectively used and efficient use of resources is realized.
