The invention relates to a casting material for a ladle lining, in particular to a casting material for the ladle lining or a working layer. In order to solve the technical problems, the invention provides a casting material of which a using position is a direct lining at which a ladle and liquid steel are in contact, the casting material comprises the following components in percentage by weight: 8-20% of white corundum of 12-8mm, 11-15% of sintered micropore aluminum spinel of 8-5mm, 12-15% of sintered micropore aluminum spinel of 5-3mm, 10-15% of sintered micropore aluminum spinel of 3-1mm, 30-35% of sintered micropore aluminum spinel of smaller than or equal to 1mm, 0-5% of modified magnesium-calcium sand of smaller than or equal to 1mm, 1% of chromium carbide powder, 3-5% of composite gel, 1% of hydrated alumina micro powder, 1% of pearl argil powder, 0.5% of bismuth germanate powder, 3-5% of modified pure calcium aluminate cement, 0.1% of C7H10N2O2S, 0.1% of C21H14Na2O6S2 and 0.05% of 2-morpholine ethyl sulfonic acid. The casting material disclosed by the invention can alleviate the reaction degree of the ladle lining material and slag, improves the high temperature property and the slag corrosion resistant property of an anti-slag ladle product, greatly improves the thermal shock resistant property of the ladle, and effectively prolongs the service life of the whole casting ladle, and the service life of the casting material is 30% longer than a conventional ladle in the same type.
