The waterproof agent comprises, by weight, 15-65 parts of magnesium phosphate, 5-15 parts of magnesium slag powder, 10-30 parts of coal ash, 0.5-1 part of aluminum slag powder, 1-5 parts of calcium metasilicate, 1-3 parts of talcum powder and 1-3 parts of diluted hydrochloric acid. The preparation method of the waterproof agent includes the steps that accurate weighing is conducted according to the weight part ratio of the components, weighed magnesium phosphate is placed in a mixing tank first, then the weighed magnesium slag powder, the coal ash, the aluminum slag powder, the calcium metasilicate, the talcum powder and the diluted hydrochloric acid are sequentially added into the magnesium phosphate, and a mechanical agitator is used for stirring; by fully stirring, the expansive type concrete waterproof agent can be obtained after granules are not contained in a homogenizing material. The preparation method is simple, easy to operate and low in cost, the prepared waterproof agent has the advantages of being non-toxic, small in mixing amount and low in alkalinity, the water resistance is good, and great application value can be achieved in the building industry.
