Magnesia-carbon brick for acid steel-making and basic refining furnaces
The invention discloses a magnesia-carbon brick for acid steel-making and basic refining furnaces. The magnesia-carbon brick comprises the raw materials of fused magnesia, graphite, metal aluminum, metal silicon, high-temperature pitch, phenolic resin, and 0.8 part of an inhibitor, and all the materials are accurately weighed in proportion and sintered into the end brick by the conventional method. As the inhibitor prepared from potassium/soda feldspar, rho-Al2O3 and CaO is added into the raw materials, reaction between acid steel slag and MgO in the basic magnesia-carbon brick is inhibited, accordingly, the function of protecting the completeness of the magnesia-carbon brick is performed, and the purpose of prolonging the service life of the magnesia-carbon brick is achieved. The magnesia-carbon brick meets the use requirements of refining ladles for electric induction furnaces, and solves the problem of short service life of the refining ladle. Experiments show that when the magnesia-carbon brick is applied to the ladle linings of the acid steel-making and basic refining furnaces, the service life of the ladles can be prolonged from the original 30 times to the present 80 times or above, so that the steel-making cost is greatly lowered, and the consumption of refractory materials is reduced.
