The invention discloses a fence type blocking device for a sidewalk junction. Opposite type electric fences (2) are installed on a road junction (1), the fences (2) are used by being connected with a traffic light arranged at the road junction (1) in series, and when the traffic light turns to be red, the electric fences (2) are closed slowly; sensing devices (3) are installed on the electric fences (2), and if a person breaks into the fences (2) when the fences (2) are closed, protective stop can be carried out on the fences (2); warning devices are installed on the electric fences (2), and warning information is sent out when the fences (2) are closed; the warning information is displayed in a sound or LED light mode; video devices (5) are installed on the electric fences (2), and video information in a relative site when closing is conducted is acquired. Corresponding opening and closing can be conducted according to the change of the traffic light arranged at the road junction, and effective management and control can be carried out on the road junction.
