The invention provides a foundation pile high strain stress sensor installation pad and an installation method thereof. The foundation pile high strain stress sensor installation pad comprises a first steel pad, a second steel pad, guide steel pipes and a fixing iron sheet; the first steel pad and the second steel pad are connected through the guide steel pipes to enable the first steel pad and the second steel pad to be located at the same plane, and the first steel pad is connected with the second steel pad through the fixing iron sheet and fastened on the side face of a pile body through expansion screws; the fixing iron sheet is loosened and removed, and the guide steel pipes which connect the first steel pad with the second steel pad are removed; a stress sensor is installed at the fixing iron sheet. The foundation pile high strain stress sensor installation pad and the installation method thereof have the advantages that the stress sensor can be installed conveniently to enable the installation effect to reach the detection requirements, the stress sensor can be prevented from being damaged, and the pile body deformation amount can be accurately tested.
