The invention relates to a home decoration article for daily use, in particular to an installation and use method of a mould proof cushion used under a carpet. A sound insulation layer and a plurality of supporting units located below the sound insulation layer are adopted. Gaps formed between the supporting units in the same line form a first channel; gaps formed between the supporting units in the same row form a second channel. The cross sections of the first channels or the cross sections of the second channels are in one or more shapes of triangle, rectangle, polygon, oval or a special-shaped curved face shape. The width of each supporting unit ranges from 1 mm to 1000 mm, the height of each supporting unit ranges from 0.3 mm to 39 mm, and the distance between every two adjacent supporting units ranges from 0.5 mm to 500 mm. The installation and use method comprises the steps that firstly, it is ensured that the ground is flat, horizontal, clean and dry; secondly, the sound insulation layer of the cushion faces upwards and is pressed tightly so that vapor can be discharged, and the carpet is laid on the cushion; thirdly, a circulation gap ranging from 0.5 mm to 5 mm is reserved between the carpet and a wall or between the carpet and the ground so that air circulation can be facilitated. The cushion can effectively facilitate air ventilation and is especially suitable for being laid under the carpet.
