A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
Multi-storey buildings are described in the invention, embodiments of which include two or more arms extending away from a centre with each arm comprising two or more apartments located at least in part on a first storey of each arm. At least one elevated first courtyard extends between adjacent arms and the first courtyard is two or more storeys high. One side of the first courtyard is open to the atmosphere and the two or more apartments are accessible from the first courtyard. Multiple elevated courtyards can be provided on multiple storeys with access between courtyards on the same storey.
