Disclosed in the invention is a cleaning boat for garbage on a water surface. The cleaning boat comprises a boat body; and a garbage collection device and a drive device are fixedly arranged on the boat body. Two buoyancy tanks are fixedly arranged at the two sides below the boat body; and a water flow passing zone is formed between the two buoyancy tanks. The garbage collection device includes a driven shaft, a driving shaft, and a garbage conveying filter tape; the driven shaft is arranged below the boat body movably by a bearing; the driving shaft is arranged on the boat body by a bearing; the driving shaft and the drive device are connected; and the garbage conveying filter tape is arranged on the boat body obliquely by the driving shaft and the driven shaft. According to the invention, the garbage on the water surface at the marching direction of the boat body can be collected automatically.
