The invention discloses a containment unit used for forming a prestressed concrete building base body. The containment unit comprises multiple columns. The columns are provided with penetrating channels for axially penetrating prestressed steel beams. The columns are connected to form a frame structure. Each joint of the frame structure is formed by connecting at least two columns. Compared with the prior art, on a construction site, it is only required that all containment units are sequentially spliced, the reliability of splicing is guaranteed, the prestressed steel beams are arranged in a penetrating mode in the splicing process, so that prestress is exerted on the columns, after the building base body is constructed, concrete is poured, and then a prestressed building is formed. By the adoption of the containment unit, the building is prestressed, the construction period of a construction site is effectively shortened, and the strength of the building is guaranteed. The invention further discloses a containment and a construction method thereof.
