The invention discloses a hydrological hole cleaning device utilizing the siphon principle. The hydrological hole cleaning device comprises a drainage pipe, a stirrer, a settling pond and water injection equipment. The inlet end of the drainage pipe stretches into the bottom of a hydrological hole, and the outlet end of the drainage pipe stretches into the settling pond. The water injection equipment is used for injecting water into the hydrological hole. The stirrer comprises a thin rope and a metal rod, wherein the thin rope is connected with one end of the metal rod, and the other end of the metal rod is provided with cloth stripes or a sponge. The highest water level of the hydrological hole is higher than the outlet end of the drainage pipe by at least three meters. The settling pond comprises a water reservoir and a clear water pond, wherein the water reservoir is communicated with the upper portion of the clear water pond. The invention further discloses a hydrological hole cleaning method. According to the hydrological hole cleaning device and method, under the condition that other power sources do not exist, the height difference principle and the quite simple equipment are used for cleaning the hydrological hole completely, energy is saved, and the environment is protected.
